Fragola Alcalá is a stunning new Italian restaurant in the very centre of Madrid, close to the famous Cibeles square, in the pretty Calle Alcalá. Authentic Italian cuisine is served in an ultra modern setting with long banquettes, low hung lamps and beautifully laid tables with funky artwork and brown and orange tones. There is a real cosmopolitan air about the place and the large terrace is perfect for some al fresco dining in Madrid. Take a beer and Italian style tapas in the café area or dine in the more formal restaurant or on the terrace, Fragola Alcalá is open all day from midday until midnight. Among some of the specialties of the house are the vegetable chips, the gnocchi Gorgonzola, the parmesan and ceps risotto and the Bresaola salad along with dessert specials such as tiramisu and homemade cheesecakes.
